Medical Misadventures is Here - Arnold Tweed

Medical Misadventures is Here

Breaking news! Medical Misadventures has graduated from after dinner stories to a blog and now to a book, and will be presented to the public Wednesday, 30 October 2019. Come to the Atrium of the Brodi Centre, 727 McDermot Ave, in Winnipeg between 1 – 5 PM. Meet the author and buy a copy. All profits from book sales that day will go to the Class of 1964 Legacy Fund of the University of Manitoba.

I understand that most of you live too far away to attend this event, but I wanted to let you know that Medical Misadventures is in print. The promotional flyer with the book cover, by Dean, is attached as a pdf file. Please click on the link below (Tweed-promo flyer – D1).

Medical Misadventures will soon be available (by the end of this month I hope) on Amazon for Kindle. I will let you know when it has been uploaded.

On Amazon.ca you will go to “books” and search by either title (Medical Misadventures: What I Didn’t Learn in Medical School) or author (Arnold Tweed, MD). Print copies will be available on Amazon and through McNally Robinson book stores.

  1. Medical Misadventures by Arnold Tweed contains numerous humours stories which he realized no amount of training could have prepared him for. The reader requires no medical background to appreciate them. I chucked often as I read them. But the book is about much more than humorous stories. Dr. Tweed also deals with significant medical issues such Alzheimer’s disease as well as medical/ethical issues such as Physician Assisted Suicide. The author provides easy to understand background information and various views on these issues. He humbly concludes each section with his own view based on reason, scientific evidence (or lack thereof) and his own reflections.

  2. Hello, my name is Gina. My mom is Carol Moir from Killarney, Manitoba. She speaks of you and especially Willard a lot. She would really like your book, as a friend of hers, Sandra who is still in Killarney told my mom about it. Are you able to let me know where I can purchase a copy? Thanks

    1. Andy,
Are you Andy Lumb from Killarney? We were there today.
I didn’t associate Yolana with Andy! Send me your mailing address and I will mail you a complementary copy. Best wishes, Arnold
